Wizards of the Coast released Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen back in December of 2022, and I’m incredibly excited about this new campaign setting. The story takes place in the world of Krynn, where Takhisis, the dragon queen, has come with her armies in a war of conquest. The Solamnia is the city of Kalaman's only defense, and the Dragon Queen has come for more than to conquer. She is looking for a magical weapon to annihilate Krynn once and for all.
The Dragonlance setting is based on the novels and is the first of its kind in Dungeons & Dragons. The campaign occurs during the War of the Lance, brought on by Takhisis: the dragon queen, otherwise known as Tiamat. Takhisis sent her armies to fight and conquer, promising she would return one day.
Shadow of the Dragon Queen is set for character levels 1-11. You will face unlikely foes, dragon armies, and Takhisis herself. It also brings the opportunity to play alongside the board game Dragonlance: Warriors of Krynn. So get a group of friends and try out the setting of Dragonlance and defeat the Dragon Queen!
