Ask the AI: The Top Ten Red Cards

Updated: May 5

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new segment where we ask a robot questions about Magic the Gathering! For this first article, we started off simply and asked the AI, "What are the 10 most powerful red Magic the Gathering cards that have ever been printed?". Here is the AI's response:

1. Lightning Bolt

A classic red instant spell that deals 3 damage to any target for a low mana cost, making it efficient removal or direct damage.

2. Wheel of Fortune

A powerful sorcery that allows all players to discard their hands and draw new cards, enabling massive card advantage and deck manipulation.

3. Blood Moon

An enchantment that can disrupt opponents' mana bases by turning non-basic lands into Mountains, potentially crippling multicolor decks.

4. Goblin Guide

A highly aggressive goblin creature that has haste and lets your opponent reveal the top card of their library whenever it attacks, potentially giving you information and extra damage.

5. Sneak Attack

An enchantment that allows you to cheat creatures into play from your hand by sacrificing them at the end of the turn, enabling explosive plays and surprise attacks.

6. Fireblast

An instant that deals 4 damage to any target but requires sacrificing two Mountains as an additional cost, making it a powerful and efficient finisher or removal spell.

7. Sulfuric Vortex

An enchantment that deals damage to each player and prevents them from gaining life, applying constant pressure and making it difficult for opponents to stabilize.

8. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

A legendary creature that has the ability to create token copies of other creatures you control, leading to powerful combo potential and overwhelming board presence.

9. Goblin Rabblemaster

A goblin creature that generates additional goblin tokens and becomes increasingly powerful with each attack, quickly overwhelming opponents if left unchecked.

10. Chandra, Torch of Defiance

A planeswalker that provides card advantage, damage-dealing abilities, and mana acceleration, making it a versatile and powerful red card.
